Indiana Fever Players Turn Against Stephanie White

Indiana Fever Players Turn Against Stephanie White

Once again, Stephanie White is back at it, carrying out one of the strangest actions imaginable—something that is impossible to predict or accept.

Even opposing head coach Tyler Marsh could not find any way to justify the brutal and unsportsmanlike flagrant foul committed by DiJonai Carrington. He simply avoided the issue, saying:

“I haven’t looked at that play since, so I really don’t know if it was justified or not. But that’s what I thought in the moment.”

The opposing head coach did not defend the flagrant foul because he knows that it was completely warranted.

Regarding DiJonai Carrington’s post, he said:

“I have to get back to you on that because I’m just now hearing about that. So, you know, we’ll handle that.”

It was an obvious move for the Chicago Sky head coach to avoid defending his player, because what she did was a brutal act, unsportsmanlike, unjustified, and impossible to justify by continuing to play the victim.

DiJonai Carrington deserves a 10-game suspension at minimum, and she was previously a player who deserved a lifetime suspension because of other incidents and situations involving Caitlin.

But the biggest betrayal came from Stephanie—the enemy within—who once again jumped onto the opponent’s ship and pretended that nothing had happened.

Stephanie White said:

“It was a hard foul. I don’t think that DiJonai intentionally came out to get her across the neck like she did, but it did happen.”

Stephanie White did not stop at this justification of the horrific incident that took place. She went even further by praising DiJonai Carrington’s approach and commending her for it:

“One of the things about Nai is that she is going to play her butt off. She is going to compete. Nobody’s going to go walking in for a layup. I don’t oppose the hard foul, but I also don’t think that she intentionally went for the neck.”

Stephanie White has reached the extreme of turning against her own team and players, to the point where she is defending the unsportsmanlike and criminal actions of opposing players, instead of demanding that the WNBA wake up from its slumber and announce a severe punishment against DiJonai Carrington, so that what is happening on the court can be brought under control and the WNBA can once again become a safe sporting environment.

The Indiana Fever players, for their part, once again felt betrayed.

But the problem now is that Stephanie White is Caitlin Clark’s coach on the USA national team, so no change is expected to happen at the moment. However, once the national-team duty is over, we could see Stephanie White outside the Fever organization before the playoffs begin.
